LaLiga, through its education department, LaLiga Business School, has once again launched LaLiga Week, its international program that provides a week-long immersive experience in Spain to learn about LaLiga’s methodology first-hand.
This time, 17 individuals from the University of Miami (15 students and two tutors) were able to learn about LaLiga’s expertise through a variety of activities.
Specifically, they were able to visit the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu and the Estadio Civitas Metropolitano, the RCD Stadium and the Spotify Camp Nou, as well as visiting Mediapro’s facilities to find out how LaLiga’s audiovisual production is handled.
They were also able to learn about LaLiga’s Digital Strategy and Brand Management, and attended a LaLiga Santander match.
All this, through an agreement with the University of Miami, has allowed students from the United States to take part in the LaLiga Week immersion experience for the first time. In addition, as a new feature, they attended a Liga F match to celebrate the great growth and professionalization of women’s football in Spain.
LaLiga Week is part of a larger agreement LaLiga North America has with the University of Miami. Created in 2021, the partnership brings LaLiga North America employees and University of Miami undergraduate and graduate students together to work on case studies and workshops.
Guest speakers both in classes and at the annual University of Miami Sport Industry Conference to enrich students’ knowledge about the global soccer industry.
LaLiga Week is an international program run by LaLiga Business School, the education department of LaLiga, which was launched in 2019 and has already had numerous visits from leagues and other international partners, such as the Lagos Business School of Nigeria, the Externado University of Colombia, the Dominican Football League, and a party of basketball professionals organized by the Israeli Government.
Its objective is to raise awareness of LaLiga’s methodology through experiences with clubs or with LaLiga’s own professional staff who have first-hand knowledge of the sports industry in general and the football industry in particular.
