The Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy, Vice Admiral Toribio D Adaci Jr PN, visited the troops at the different island stations in the West Philippine Sea, on March 19, 2023.
Following his visit to Naval Forces West and 3 Marine Brigade in Puerto Princesa City, the Vice Admiral also reached out to the personnel stationed at Pag-asa, Parola, and Likas Islands.
He also led the ribbon cutting and blessing of the newly constructed administrative and research building at Parola and Likas Stations. Part of the activities in the island stations are the talk to the troops and hand over of emergency kits.
Vice Admiral Adaci Jr was accompanied by the Commander of NFW, Commodore Alan M Javier PN, on his visits to the said island stations.
The Flag Officer In Command of the Philippines Navy commended the efforts of our Sailors and Marines in the different island stations, as well as the Philippine Navy ships and aircrafts in the Kalayaan Island Group within the Western Command joint area of operations, in accomplishing their mission and upholding their duties as Defenders of the Western Frontier.
Vice Admiral Adaci Jr also thanked the able leadership of Western Command through its Commander, Vice Admiral Alberto B Carlos PN for highlighting the PN’s efforts as a multi-capable naval force responsive to our maritime nation’s defense and development.

About the Vice Admiral
Vice Admiral Toribio Dulinayan Adaci Jr. is a decorated Philippine Navy officer, currently serving as the 40th Flag Officer-in Command of this esteemed service branch.
Throughout his career, he has commanded Naval Forces Western Mindanao for two years and held crucial leadership positions in both the Fleet-Marine Ready Force and at the helm of Naval Installation Command prior to taking on his current role.

His Recent Military Career
Commander Admiral Reynaldo C. Adaci has made a significant contribution to the safety of Filipino citizens, having assumed his role as commander of Naval Forces Western Mindanao in October 2020.
He successfully led numerous operations against terrorism and smuggling, most notably on Sulare Island where ₱9.7 million worth of smuggled cigarettes were intercepted off its coast and another operation resulting with over ₱52 million confiscated from smugglers; these efforts also saw several members surrendering who belonged to major criminal organizations like the New People’s Army or Abu Sayyaf groupings.
Furthermore during inclement weather/storms such as Typhoon Rai (also known locally Odette) Captain Adaci delivered successful rescue missions for those caught at sea dealing with ship breakdowns and other emergencies brought forth by harsh conditions mid-sea.
