BEIJING — In a significant diplomatic engagement, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken engaged in candid and substantive discussions with People’s Republic of China (PRC) State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang today.
The high-level meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining open channels of communication to reduce the risk of misperception and miscalculation across a wide range of issues.
During the talks, Secretary Blinken raised several pressing concerns while also acknowledging potential areas of cooperation on shared transnational challenges, aligning the interests of the United States and the PRC.
