AI to Drive National Renewal and Economic Growth
On 13 January 2025, the Prime Minister announced a comprehensive plan to harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver a decade of national renewal in the UK.

Additionally, the government will increase public compute capacity by twentyfold, starting with the development of a new supercomputer capable of processing AI tasks at unprecedented speeds.
