The U.S. military services, including the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force, successfully met their recruiting goals for Fiscal Year 2024 and are on track to do so again in FY2025.

This achievement is attributed to various reforms such as AI utilization, improved training processes, and enhanced retention strategies.

Recruitment Success Across Services

The U.S. Army exceeded its recruitment goal of 55,000 recruits in FY2024 and plans to recruit 61,000 in FY2025. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth announced this success while outlining future plans for continued growth. The Navy also had a historic year by contracting 40,978 new recruits.

The Marine Corps maintained high standards without compromising its recruiting goals. Lt. Gen. Michael J. Borgschulte emphasized the focus on lethality and maintaining rigorous standards within the Corps.

Both the Air Force and Space Force met their respective goals as well.

The Air Force concentrated on talent management and operational skills under Lt. Gen. Caroline M. Miller’s guidance, while the Space Force focused on developing its pipeline of guardians.
