Phoenix is calling on its young leaders to step up and make a difference in education.
The city is now accepting applications for the Youth & Education Commission, inviting high school, college, and homeschooled students aged 16–24 to join efforts in advancing educational access and achievement across the community.
Empowering Youth for Educational Equity
The City of Phoenix has launched an initiative that seeks to empower youth by involving them directly in shaping educational policies and initiatives. This move aims to harness the passion and innovative ideas of young residents to tackle inequities in education.
A Platform for Change

Their mission: design and implement initiatives that promote educational equity within Phoenix. Monthly council meetings and quarterly youth sessions will serve as platforms for these discussions.
