ERO Houston Arrests Five Murder Fugitives

Following a remarkable two-week operation, ERO Houston and ERO Waco fugitive operations officers apprehended five unlawfully present fugitives wanted for murder or homicide. These arrests underscore the efficiency and dedication of the officers in upholding U.S. immigration laws and enhancing public safety.

 

Overview of the Arrests

In a coordinated effort, ERO Houston and ERO Waco successfully apprehended five murder suspects between May 23 and June 7, 2023. Each arrest involved precise intelligence and swift action, highlighting the exemplary performance of the officers involved.

 

Detail of the Arrests

  • May 23: A 38-year-old Honduran national, wanted in Mexico for multiple murders, was apprehended in Galveston. This individual was involved in a botched narcotics hijacking that led to the murder of two gang members.
  • May 24: A 21-year-old Mexican national, wanted for homicide in Veracruz, Mexico, was captured in Splendora. This arrest was a joint effort with the Splendora Police Department.
  • June 3: A 42-year-old Honduran national, wanted for homicide in North Carolina, was apprehended in southwest Houston. ERO Houston acted on intelligence from ERO Atlanta, arresting the suspect within seven hours.
  • June 4: A 41-year-old Mexican national, previously expelled and wanted for homicide in Durango, Mexico, was apprehended in Waco. This arrest was made 12 days after receiving critical information from the NCATC.
  • June 7: A 40-year-old Mexican national, voluntarily returned three times and wanted for homicide in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, was captured in Splendora. This arrest also involved the Splendora Police Department.
