The Trump Administration has invoked the Alien Enemies Act to remove hundreds of members of Tren de Aragua, a Foreign Terrorist Organization, from the U.S.

This action aims to enhance national security by targeting violent foreign gang members. President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador has been instrumental in this process.

The Trump Administration’s recent actions against Tren de Aragua (TdA) mark a significant step in enhancing national security.

By invoking the Alien Enemies Act, hundreds of TdA members have been removed from the United States. This move aligns with broader efforts to protect American citizens from foreign threats.

President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador has played a crucial role in this initiative. He agreed to imprison these individuals and requested that top leaders of MS-13 be returned to El Salvador for justice.

This cooperation underscores the bilateral efforts between the U.S. and El Salvador in combating transnational crime.

The collaboration between the U.S. and El Salvador highlights a strategic partnership aimed at addressing shared security concerns.

By working together, both nations demonstrate their commitment to reducing the influence of criminal organizations that threaten regional stability.

Strategic Outcomes

  • Enhanced national security through targeted removal of foreign gang members
  • Improved diplomatic relations with El Salvador
  • Potential positive impact on trade and economic stability
  • Increased focus on transnational crime prevention
  • Reinforcement of “America First” priorities

Quotes

Marco Rubio, Secretary of State said,

“The Trump Administration has taken yet another historic measure to make America safer.”

“Under the President’s direction, his administration invoked the Alien Enemies Act to initiate the removal of hundreds of dangerous members of Tren de Aragua (TdA), a vicious and violent Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), which has been threatening our nation, conducting irregular warfare, and terrorizing Americans.”

“Hundreds of violent criminals were sent out of our country.  This crucial step would have never happened under any other U.S. president.  President Trump is following through on the promises he made to the American people.”

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador for playing a pivotal role in this transfer.  He has volunteered to imprison these violent criminals.”

“As part of this process, Bukele has also requested the United States to return two dangerous top leaders of MS-13 plus 21 of its most wanted to face justice in their homeland.”

“Once again, President Bukele has shown he is not only the strongest security leader in our region, he’s also a great friend of the United States.”

“As President Trump’s Secretary of State, I’m honored to continue advancing the America First foreign policy priorities.”
