Running from Monday, 11th November, to Friday, 15th November, and sponsored by Santander UK, the week is packed with free events, workshops, and webinars. It’s designed to help companies connect with global markets, hone their export skills, and build a robust international network.

Held for the fourth consecutive year, International Trade Week brings together resources, experts, and opportunities to ease the export journey for UK companies. Events are tailored to businesses of all sizes and sectors, from those venturing into exports for the first time to seasoned traders expanding their global footprint.

Santander UK’s support underscores the week’s emphasis on helping UK businesses thrive globally despite ongoing economic challenges.

New Digital Tools for Exporting Success

To support exporting businesses, DBT is introducing cutting-edge resources during International Trade Week, aimed at simplifying the export process for UK companies.

Insights from the 2024 Trade Barometer

Released to coincide with International Trade Week, the Santander Trade Barometer highlights increased optimism among UK businesses regarding international trade. According to the report:

  • 36% of UK businesses now feel “very confident” about trading internationally, a notable increase from last year’s 22%.
  • 52% of companies view international trade as vital to their growth, especially in today’s unpredictable economy.

John Baldwin, CEO of Santander Corporate and Commercial Banking, explains,

“Initiatives like International Trade Week are vital for enabling UK businesses to expand into overseas markets. With support from both the government and the private sector, UK companies have more opportunities than ever to compete globally.”
