Phoenix’s urban wildlife and vibrant ecosystem take center stage this Saturday, October 19, at Nature Fest PHX. Hosted by the City of Phoenix and environmental organizations, the event offers interactive wildlife experiences, nature walks, and family-friendly activities at the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area.

A Day to Celebrate Nature and Community

Nature Fest PHX is more than just an event; it’s a community celebration focused on educating locals and visitors about the rich biodiversity of Phoenix’s urban environment.

From 8 AM to 12 PM, the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area will host a variety of activities, including wildlife demonstrations, guided walks, and art sessions. Food trucks will be on-site, serving delicious meals for attendees to enjoy throughout the morning.

  • Guided Walks: Join guided nature walks and photography sessions led by local experts, giving attendees a chance to explore and capture the beauty of the Salt River area.

Local partner organizations, including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and ASU’s Rio Reimagined Project, will have booths providing information on how residents can engage with conservation efforts beyond Nature Fest.

It’s an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and learn how to get involved in year-round environmental activities.
