The 20th anniversary of Quad Foreign Ministers cooperation, highlighting its evolution from disaster relief in 2004 to addressing regional challenges like climate change, cybersecurity, and maritime security, reinforcing its commitment to the Indo-Pacific.

Today in a joint statement, the Foreign Ministers of the Quad nations reflected on two decades of cooperation that began with disaster relief following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

Today, the Quad addresses issues beyond disaster relief, including:

  • Climate change adaptation.
  • Enhancing cybersecurity.
  • Improving maritime security and awareness.
  • Promoting STEM education and infrastructure development.

The Quad’s initiatives underscore its commitment to regional stability and long-term prosperity.
