The City of Tucson’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) has announced a finding of no significant environmental impact, clearing the way for this pivotal project.
The initiative focuses on creating sustainable housing for residents aged 55 and over, combining affordability with modern amenities.
Project Details
The Rincon Manor development will span 2.48 acres at 6639 South 12th Avenue, Tucson, on a site split from an existing property. This U-shaped, three-story complex will include 84 one- and two-bedroom units tailored for households earning an average of 50% of the area median income (AMI).
The new housing will feature:
- Amenities: Fitness room, onsite laundry, Wi-Fi, green spaces, and a walking path.
- Connectivity: Sidewalk construction linking the complex to South 12th Avenue.
- Sustainability: National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Silver certification and energy-efficient appliances to reduce environmental impact.
