Philip “PJ” Nice, a DSS Special Agent and Regional Security Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador, was awarded the Navy Civilian Service Achievement Medal for his exceptional leadership and dedication to managing security programs and supporting U.S. Marine Security Guards (MSGs).

This recognition underscores the importance of security cooperation in maintaining safe diplomatic operations.

 

Regional Security

Philip “PJ” Nice has been recognized for his outstanding contributions as the Regional Security Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

His leadership skills have been instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of diplomatic personnel and facilities. The award highlights his commitment to excellence in managing security programs.

The U.S. Marine Security Guards (MSGs) under Nice’s supervision achieved significant recognition by being named Detachment of the Year in 2023 and Detachment Commander of the Year in 2024.

These accolades reflect the high standards set by Nice and his team, emphasizing their dedication to maintaining secure environments for diplomatic missions.

Civilians working with the Navy or Marine Corps can receive the Navy Civilian Service Achievement Medal for outstanding performance or achievements that mirror the standards of the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal awarded to military personnel.
